Portfolio Performance Analysis
Our process of providing direction to the client regarding investment performance involves two steps:
1. establishing the proper performance benchmarks
2. measuring ongoing results against those hurdles
As for the former, we establish benchmarks and measure performance in a variety of ways: both nominal and risk-adjusted returns as well as peer group comparisons. Within each quarterly performance monitoring report, we gauge the degree to which managers are meeting these standards. We break down manager attribution characteristics to the different aspects of the portfolio management process: stock selection, industry weighting, market timing and style. We have a variety of options for providing asset allocation and portfolio reviews, each offer different features that work best in different situations.
Periodically, we can perform an Equity Portfolio Review that will provide an analysis of your existing stock portfolio, commenting on sector allocation, portfolio characteristics, and individual stock positions. These reviews can be run on assets held away from Baird, as well.
With 360 Wealth we have the capabilities to monitor performance of portfolios held outside of Baird. The heart of a strong wealth management relationship lies in understanding every aspect of a client’s situation, from their needs, wants and wishes to their complete financial picture. Seeing a client’s finances in this comprehensive manner allows us to maximize the value of the advice and solutions we provide and ultimately help the client achieve what matters most to them.
